La concentración de escritores y artistas plásticos judíos que se identifican como judíos y que incorporan la temática judía en sus obras rivaliza la de Nueva York o Tel Aviv. En las librerías de la ciudad, se encuentran sus libros nuevos y anteriores de escritores judíos. En los museos como el Museo de Arte Moderno Latinoamericano, el Museo Judío y el Museo del Holocausto y en numerosas galerías arman exhibiciones de la obra de artistas plásticos judíos. Además, hay curadures judíos que promuevan y guían a los artistas.

Ana María Shua nació en Buenos Aires en 1951. A los dieciséis años publicó sus primeros poemas reunidos en "El sol y yo". En 1980 ganó con su novela "Soy paciente" el premio de la editorial Losada. Sus otras novelas son "Los amores de Laurita" (llevada al cine), "El libro de los recuerdos" (Beca Guggenheim), y "La muerte como efecto secundario" (Premio Club de los XIII y Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires en novela). Su última novela es "El peso de la tentación". Cinco de sus libros abordan el microrrelato, un género en el que ha obtenido el máximo reconocimiento internacional: "La sueñera", "Casa de geishas", "Botánica del caos", y "Temporada de fantasmas" (reunidos en el volumen "Cazadores de letras"), y "Fenómenos de circo". También ha escrito libros de cuentos: "Los días de pesca", "Viajando se conoce gente", y "Como una buena madre". Con "Miedo en el sur" obtuvo el Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires. "Que tengas una vida interesante" reúne sus cuentos completos hasta 2011. Su último libro en el género es "Contra el tiempo". Recibió varios premios nacionales e internacionales por sus libros para chicos. Su obra ha sido traducida a nueve idiomas.
Ana María Shua was born in Buenos Aires in 1951. At the age of sixteen, she published her early poems in a collection, "El sol y yo" ("The Sun and I"). In 1980, her first novel, "Soy paciente" ("I am a Patient"), received the Losada Publisher's prize. Her other novels are "Los amores de Laurita" ("Laurita's Loves"), which was made into a movie; "El libro de los recuerdos" ("The Book of Memories"), written while she was on a Guggenheim Fellowship; and "La muerte como efecto secundario" ("Death as a Side Effect"), which was awarded the Club de los XIII award and the Buenos Aires City Prize for novels. Her most recent novel is "El peso de la tentación" ("The Weight of Temptation"). Five of her books are collections of microstories, a genre for which she has received the greatest international recognition: "La sueñera," "Casa de geishas" ("House of Geishas"), "Botánica del caos" ("Botánica of Chaos"), and "Temporada de fantasmas" ("The Season of Phantoms"), all of which are collected in the volume "Cazadores de letras" ("Hunter of Letters"), and also "Fenómenos de circo" ("Circus Phenomena"). She has also written several books of short stories, including "Los días de pesca" ("Fishing Days"), "Viajando se conoce gente" ("Traveling, You Meet People"), "Como una buena madre" ("Like a Good Mother"), and "Miedo en el sur" ("Fear in the South"), which won the City of Buenos Aires Prize. "Que tengas una vida interesante" ("That You Have a Good Life") brings together all of her short stories until 2011. Her latest book written in that genre is "Contra el tiempo" ("Against Time"). She has received several national and international prizes for her children's books. Her work has been translated into nine languages.

Horacio Vodavotz nació en 1942. Estudió dibujo y pintura con Manuel Eichelbaum y Demetrio Urruchua. Se graduó como Arquitecto Universidad de Buenos Aires en 1967. Con sus óleos y monocopias concurre a salones Nacionales, Provinciales y Municipales desde 1955. Habiendo sido seleccionado en más de cien oportunidades y obteniendo numerosos premios. Han destacado también sus trabajos por Radio Barcelona y en Israel los periódicos "Aurora" y "Maariv". Entre sus murales se destacan "Lago Kineret" (1966) de cien metros cuadrados y ubicado en Buenos Aires, y otros como el realizado en Barrington Shores, EEUU (1988), en B'nai B'rith (1990) y Hospital Israelita (1998). Poseen obras suyas los Museos de Campana, del Grabado, Colecciones Privadas e Instituciones la Argentina y Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Francia, Inglaterra, Israel, los Estados Unidos, y la ex-Unión Soviética. Escribe y da clases y conferencias sobre temas de su especialidad en diversos ámbitos tales como Comunidad Emanu-El, B'nai B'rith, Facultad de Odontología, Colegio de Farmacéuticos y Bioquímicos y las Escuelas ORT.
Horacio Vodovotz was born in 1942. He studied painting and drawing with Manuel Eichelbaum and Demetrio Urruchua. He graduated in 1967, obtaining his degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Since 1955, he has shown his oil paintings and monotypes in national, provincial and municipal exhibitions. Having been a finalist in more than 100 events, he has won many prizes. Also, his works have been praised by Radio Barcelona and by the newspapers "Aurora" and "Maariv" in Israel. His most important murals are "Lake Kineret" (1966), one hundred square meters in size and located in Buenos Aires, and others in Barrington Shores, U.S.A. (1988), at B'nai B'rith Argentina (1990), and at the Hospital Israelita of Buenos Aires (1998). His works are owned by the Campana and Prints Museums in Buenos Aires and in institutional and private collections in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Costa Rica, France, England, Israel, the United States, and the former Soviet Union. Horacio Vodovotz writes, gives classes, and lectures about topics in which he specializes in varied locales such as the Emmanuel Synagogue, B'nai B'rith, the College of Dentistry, the School of Pharmacy and the College of Pharmacists and Biochemists, and the ORT school system.

Becaria el Fundación Antorchas, Nahum Goldman Foundation, Getty Foundation, Smithsonian Institute, Jewish Theological Seminary de New York, y Task Force, entre otras. Conferencias dictadas en congresos internacionales del ICOM (Consejo Internacional de Museos) en Viena y en México; en el One by One Meeting en Riverdale, New York; y en Northeastern University en Boston entre otros.
Irene Jaievsky, a sculptor and scenery designer, graduated from the Advanced Institute of the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. She has served as art curator of the Buenos Aires Museum of the Holocaust (2001-2005) and curator and manager of the Buenos Aires Museum of Art and Design (2003-2007), the Arte y Parte art gallery (2008-2010), and the Women's Museum of Buenos Aires (2010). In Buenos Aires, she has been the curator at the Recoleta Cultural Center, the House of Culture, the Jewish Museum, and the National Fund for the Arts, among others. She has acted as curator of temporary art shows in New York City, Boston, and Paris, and served as advisor to a traveling show to fourteen artist's books containing Latin American Jewish poetry and artworks in the United States and Mexico (2011-2012). She has won fellowships from the Antorchas Foundation, the Nahum Goldman Foundation, the Getty Foundation, the Smithsonian Institute, the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, and the Task Force, among others. She has lectured at conferences of the International Council of Museums held in Vienna and Mexico City; at the One by One meeting in Riverdale, New York; and at Northeastern University in Boston, among other institutions.

Marcelo Birmajer se nació en Buenos Aires en 1966. Es un escritor judío argentino, mejor conocido por haber escrito el guión de la película "El abrazo partido". Es el nieto de inmigrantes polacos, rumanos, lituanos, y sirios. La obra de Birmajer usualmente el barrio bonaerense de Once y sus habitantes. La mayoría de sus historias se enfocan en personajes judíos. También, él trata asuntos judíos como bar-mitzvás y la alternativa siempre presente de inmigrar a Israel. Otros temas que recurren son la vida de la gente casada, sobre todo en su serie "Historias de hombres casados", y la sociedad argentina y sus crisis. Muchos escritos de Birmajer tiene un tono autobiográfico, la presentación de un personaje principal que es el propio escritor. Sus obras más conocidas son novelas "El alma de Diablo" (1997), "Tres mosqueteros" (2001), y los libros de cuentos "El fuego más alto" (1997) y "Los hombres casados" (2001). Ha sido galardonado con el premio Konex 2004 como uno de los cinco mejores escritores de la década 1994-2003 en el campo de la literatura juvenil. Nuevamente en 2011 recibió el Premio Konex, junto a Daniel Burman, como uno de los cinco mejores guionistas de cine de la década 2001-2010. Algunos de estos títulos se han traducido al inglés, alemán, holandés, italiano, chino, hebreo, y otros idiomas.
Marcelo Birmajer was born in Buenos Aires in 1966. He is an Argentine Jewish author, best known for writing the script for the 2004 film "El abrazo partido" ("The Broken Hug"). He is the grandson of Romanian, Polish, Lithuanian, and Syrian immigrants. Birmajer's work usually revolves around the Buenos Aires neighborhood Once and its inhabitants. Most stories feature Jewish characters. He also addresses Jewish topics such bar mitzvahs and the ever-present alternative of emigrating to Israel. Other recurrent subjects are married life, especially in his series "Historias de hombres casados" ("Stories of Married Men"), and Argentine society and its crisis. Many of Birmajer's works have clear autobiographical lines, presenting a main character who is himself a writer. His best-known works are the novels "El alma al Diablo" ("The Soul of the Devil," 1997), "Tres mosqueteros" ("Three Musketeers," 2001), and his short story collections "El fuego más alto" ("The Highest Flame," 1997) and "Los hombres casados" ("Married Men," 2001). He won the Konex Prize in 2004 as one of the best five writers of children's books for 1994-2004. He won the prize again in 2011, together with Daniel Burman, as one of the five best screenwriters of 2001-2010. Some of his works have been translated into English, German, Dutch, Italian, Hebrew, and other languages.

Miryam Gover de Nasatsky nació en Buenos Aires. Fue profesora en letras egresada de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), de Argentina. Fue becaria del Fondo Nacional de las Artes. Es docente e investigadora e integrante del Instituto Literario y Cultural Hispánico (California, EEUU), y colabora en revistas literarias. Gover de Nasatsky ha publicado, entre otros trabajos de investigación, "Bibliografía de Alberto Gerchunoff" (1976), "Poesía argentina del siglo XX" (1981), y "Escritores judeo-argentinos: Bibliografía 1900-1987" (con A. Weinstein, 1994). También ha publicado dos poemarios, "Persistentes vibraciones" (1999) y "Resonancias de Auschwitz" (2011), y las novelas "La pasión de un visionario: Theodor Herzl" (2004) y "Desde la cima: reminiscencias de David Ben-Gurión" (2008).
Miryam Gover de Nasatsky was born in Buenos Aires and graduated from the National University of the Litoral in Argentina. She received a grant from Argentina's National Fund for the Arts. She is a teacher, a researcher, and a member of the Hispanic Literary and Cultural Institute, in California, and she writes for literary magazines. Gover de Nasatsky has published, among other research works, "Bibliografía de Alberto Gerchunoff" ("Bibliography of Alberto Gerchunoff," 1976), "Poesía Argentina del Siglo XX" ("Argentine Poetry of the 20th Century," 1981), and "Escritores Judeo-Argentinos: Bibliografía 1900-1987" ("Jewish-Argentine Writers: Bibliography 1900-1987," with A. Weinstein, 1994). She has also published two books of poetry, "Persistentes Vibraciones" ("Persistent Vibrations," 1999) and "Resonancias de Auschwitz" ("Resonances of Auschwitz," 2011), and the novels "La Pasión de un Visionario: Theodor Herzl" ("The Passion of a Visionary: Theodor Herzl," 2004) and "Desde la Cima: Reminiscencias de David Ben-Gurión" ("From the Top: Reminiscences of David Ben-Gurion," 2008).

Nora Seilicovich nace en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Se gradúa como arquitecta en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, y cursa estudios de dibujo, pintura y grabado en los estudios de Vicente Forte, Antonio Seguí, y Aída Carballo, y en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes "Prilidiano Pueyrredón". Ella vive actualmente en el popular y atractivo barrio de La Boca donde tiene su estudio y atelier, y donde también expone de forma permanente parte de su colección. Comparte su tiempo entre su trabajo como arquitecta y las actividades relacionadas con las artes plásticas. Desde el año 1980 realizó numerosas exposiciones y muestras, tanto individuales como colectivas, en la Argentina y en el exterior. Varias de sus obras están en manos de coleccionistas privados. Nora Seilicovich expresa que los colores y motivos de sus obras están inspiradas en los personajes de las pequeñas ciudades del este europeo, en especial Rusia y Ucrania, desde donde llegaron sus padres y abuelos a principios del siglo XX para asentarse en la cosmopolita Ciudad de Buenos Aires. --From Nora Seilicovich's website (http://noraseilicovich.com.ar/)
Nora Seilicovich was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, and studied drawing, painting, and print making in the workshops of Vicente Forte, Antonio Seguí, y Aída Carballo, and in the Prilidiano Pueyrredón School of Fine Arts. She lives in the popular and attractive neighborhood of La Boca, where she has her workshop and where she permanently exhibits part of her collection. She divides her time between her work as an architect and her activities related to the visual arts. Since 1980, she has had numerous shows, individual and collective, in Argentina and in other countries. Some of her work can be found in private collections. Nora Seilicovich explains that the colors and motifs of her works are inspired by the people of the small cities of Eastern Europe, especially Russia and Ukraine, from which her parents and grandparents emigrated at the beginning of the twentieth century to settle in Buenos Aires.

Ha expuesto su obra en Cuba, Chile, España, los Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, Italia, México, Namibia, Polonia, Rumania, y otros países. Ha ganado premios en Argentina, Canadá, y otros países.
Perla Bajder was born 1946 in Buenos Aires. She works in painting, engraving, drawing, and illustration. She began her art studies with Leonor Albarellos and Anibal Carreno. Ricardo Feierstein nació en Buenos Aires. Ha ejercido una variedad de oficios: arquitecto, editor, y crítico de espectáculos. Lleva publicado una treintena de libros, entre ellos, las novelas: la trilogía "Sinfonía Inocente" (1984), "Mestizo" (1994, en ingles 2000), "La logia del umbral" (2001), "Consorcio Utopia" (2007), y "Las novias perdidas" (2011); ocho colecciones de cuentos; cinco volúmenes de poesía, entre ellos "Las Edades/The Ages", una antología bilingüe castellano-inglés (2005); y cuatro libros de ensayos, entre ellos los ya clásicos "Historia de los judíos argentinos" (1993, 2001, 2006) y "Vida cotidiana de los judíos argentinos: del gueto al country" (2007). Ha sido traducido al ingles, italiano, alemán, y hebreo. Entre 1987 fundó la Editorial Milá de la comunidad judía de la Argentina, que dirigió hasta 2008. Codirigió con Stephen Sadow los Encuentros internacionales de 2001, 2003, y 2005.
Ricardo Feierstein was born in Buenos Aires. He has worked at a variety of jobs: architect, editor, and movie and theater critic. He has published over thirty books, amomg them novels: the trilogy "Sinfonía Inocente" ("Innocent Symphony," 1984), "Mestizo" (1994, in English 2000), "La Logia del Umbral" ("The Threshold of the Lodge," 2001), "Consorcio Utopia" ("Utopia Consortium," 2007) and "Las Novias Perdidas" ("The Lost Brides," 2011); eight collections of short stories; five volumes of poetry, among them "Las Edades/The Ages," a Spanish-English bilingual anthology (2005); and four books of essays, among them the already classic "Historia de los Judíos Argentinos" ("History of Argentine Jews," 1993, 2001, 2006) and "Vida Cotidiana de los Judíos Argentinos: Del Gueto al Country" ("Daily Life of Argentine Jews: From the Ghetto to the Country," 2007). Ricardo Feierstein's work has been translated into English, French, Italian, German, and Hebrew. In 1987 he founded Editorial Milá of the Jewish community of Argentina, which he directed until 2008. With Stephen Sadow, Feierstein co-directed Encuentros, international cultural gatherings, in 2001, 2003, and 2005.

Silvia Plager nació en Buenos Aires y ahora vive en el suburbio de Martínez. Entre sus obras de ficción se encuentran "A las escondidas" (1985, 1991), "Mujeres pudorosas" (1993), and "La baronesa de Fiuggi" (1998). La acción de "Las damas ocultas del Greco" (2008) tiene lugar en el mundo terrible en el que vivían las mujeres de la vida de El Greco. Una de sus producciones fue "La rabina" (2006), finalista del Premio Planeta 2005. Para armar este conjunto de hojas debió rumbear por el mundo de las rabinas y ver cómo eran estas mujeres. Susana Beibe, ceramista argentina, ha realizado su formación en pintura y escultura. Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Cerámica y su formación en escultura y dibujo la realizó con los maestros Leo Tavella. Aurelio Macchi, Leo Vinci, y Juan Carlos Distéfano. Trabaja con cemento, piedra, cerámica, metal y elementos no convencionales. Además, realiza relieves con técnicas mixtas utilizando todos los derivados del papel. Algunas de sus esculturas monumentales están emplazadas en el Centro Cultural San Martín, la Plaza Seca, y el Museo Metropolitano en Buenos Aires, y el Parque Lenin, La Habana.
Susana Beibe, Argentinian ceramicist, studied painting and sculpture at the National School of Ceramics. She received her training in sculpture and drawing with the masters Leo Tavella, Aurelio Macchi, Leo Vinci, and Juan Carlos Distéfano. She works with cement, stone, ceramics, metal, and non-conventional materials. She also creates bas-reliefs with mixed techniques, using all the by-products of paper. Some of her monumental sculptures are located in the San Martín Cultural Center, the Plaza Seca, and the Metropolitan Museum in Buenos Aires, and in Lenin Park in Havana.

Susana Grimberg vive en Buenos Aires, donde ha producido un río continuo de escritura que incluye sus novelas "Refugios en la ciudad" (1995) y "El espejo de las palabras" (1998), sus poemarios "Los Bordes del Tiempo" (2002), "La Mirada de Ana" (2006), una interpretación poética de "El Diario de Anne Frank", y "Sinfonía Mayor" (2009). Susana Grimberg es una psicoanalista.
