Ricardo Feierstein nació en Buenos Aires. Ha ejercido una variedad de oficios: arquitecto, editor, y crítico de espectáculos. Lleva publicado una treintena de libros, entre ellos, las novelas: la trilogía "Sinfonía Inocente" (1984), "Mestizo" (1994, en ingles 2000), "La logia del umbral" (2001), "Consorcio Utopia" (2007), y "Las novias perdidas" (2011); ocho colecciones de cuentos; cinco volúmenes de poesía, entre ellos "Las Edades/The Ages", una antología bilingüe castellano-inglés (2005); y cuatro libros de ensayos, entre ellos los ya clásicos "Historia de los judíos argentinos" (1993, 2001, 2006) y "Vida cotidiana de los judíos argentinos: del gueto al country" (2007). Ha sido traducido al ingles, italiano, alemán, y hebreo. Entre 1987 fundó la Editorial Milá de la comunidad judía de la Argentina, que dirigió hasta 2008. Codirigió con Stephen Sadow los Encuentros internacionales de 2001, 2003, y 2005.
Ricardo Feierstein was born in Buenos Aires. He has worked at a variety of jobs: architect, editor, and movie and theater critic. He has published over thirty books, amomg them novels: the trilogy "Sinfonía Inocente" ("Innocent Symphony," 1984), "Mestizo" (1994, in English 2000), "La Logia del Umbral" ("The Threshold of the Lodge," 2001), "Consorcio Utopia" ("Utopia Consortium," 2007) and "Las Novias Perdidas" ("The Lost Brides," 2011); eight collections of short stories; five volumes of poetry, among them "Las Edades/The Ages," a Spanish-English bilingual anthology (2005); and four books of essays, among them the already classic "Historia de los Judíos Argentinos" ("History of Argentine Jews," 1993, 2001, 2006) and "Vida Cotidiana de los Judíos Argentinos: Del Gueto al Country" ("Daily Life of Argentine Jews: From the Ghetto to the Country," 2007). Ricardo Feierstein's work has been translated into English, French, Italian, German, and Hebrew. In 1987 he founded Editorial Milá of the Jewish community of Argentina, which he directed until 2008. With Stephen Sadow, Feierstein co-directed Encuentros, international cultural gatherings, in 2001, 2003, and 2005.
