Silvia Plager nació en Buenos Aires y ahora vive en el suburbio de Martínez. Entre sus obras de ficción se encuentran "A las escondidas" (1985, 1991), "Mujeres pudorosas" (1993), and "La baronesa de Fiuggi" (1998). La acción de "Las damas ocultas del Greco" (2008) tiene lugar en el mundo terrible en el que vivían las mujeres de la vida de El Greco. Una de sus producciones fue "La rabina" (2006), finalista del Premio Planeta 2005. Para armar este conjunto de hojas debió rumbear por el mundo de las rabinas y ver cómo eran estas mujeres. Su gusto por la investigación la ha llevado a estar siempre cerca del periodismo, ha colaborado con los diarios "La Opinión", "La Prensa", y "Clarín" y en numerosas revistas.
Biographical/historical
Silvia Plager was born in Buenos Aires and now lives in the suburb of Martínez. Among her novels are "A las escondidas" ("Hide and Seek," 1985, 1991), "Mujeres pudorosas" ("Prudish Women," 1993), and "La baronesa de Fiuggi" ("The Baroness of Fiuggi," 1998). The action of "Las damas ocultas del Greco" ("The Hidden Women of El Greco," 2008) takes place in the terrible world in which the women in El Greco's life lived. Her novel "La rabina" ("The Woman Rabbi," 2006) was a finalist for the Planeta Prize in 2005. To create these pages, she entered the world of female rabbis to see what these women were like. Her zest for research has always brought her to journalism. She has collaborated in the "La Opinión," "La Prensa," and "Clarín" newspapers and in numerous magazines.
